Description
The name ‘Muchhore’ translates to deep-fried dough. Although it resembles the Chakkli, it is quite different in its preparation and taste. Made with Moong dal and Rice flour, Muchhore simply melts in your mouth. In Tamil, mucchore is also called ‘Mullu Murukku’. This is because of the jagged, thorn-like surface of the snack which resembles thorns or ‘Mullu’.
In South Indian homes, the air is filled with the buttery aroma of Muchhore during Janmashtami. It is also very light on the stomach, making it a great tea-time snack for the entire family to enjoy.
